Naomi's Monitoring vs Expiring Domains
Whenever Naomi emails inquiring about an expiring Domain, the PM must check what the issue is. They could be:
Expired Primary Domain:
- If the Domain is in our Dynadot Account: PMs go ahead and renew it.
- If the Domain is in the Client's own Registrar: Call the client to renew it, and inform you once done. Once they inform you, offer to transfer the domain to us so they no longer need to trouble themselves with the annual renewal and save on the renewal fee.
Note: Before offering a transfer, check if there's a business email attached to the same domain first.
- If Email host is different from Registrar, offer the transfer.
- If Email host is the same as the Domain Registrar, DO NOT offer to transfer, or we'll be opening a can of worms on the business email.
Domain is Different from the one Naomi Emailed about:
- Simply inform Naomi that the Primary Domain has been changed to *new domain*
Additional Note:
To ensure Naomi's monitoring is up to date, whenever your are done with Domain Pointing, also email Naomi that the Domain had been changed. Or she will still be monitoring the old domain and ask you about it when old domain expires. That's what lead to the 2nd scenario above.
