No Dual Tasking. Please focus on the discussion during the meeting.

Client's "Middlemans"

When your client (the business owner) has a middleman, it's possible that this "IT" of theirs has vested interest in the client's website.

They can make things difficult for the PM to make the client cancel our services with us, so they can retain their business. This is common when their "middleman" is a webdev that can potentially loose the client if they successfully move their site services with us.

1. Always CC the client when emailing middlemen.
2. At some point, when the middleman doesn't cooperate, alert the client on what's going on so they know the issue is not us.
3. If the situation results to a cancellation, give context of what happened and that this middleman "may have vested interest" in the client's legacy site hence ruined the relationship between Simple and the client by making things difficult for the PM.

Development: Custom Instructions

Remember that Devs will just delivery the basic build of websites.

Reminders:

  • Collections:
  • Limited at 100 Pages. Any excess, will need to be added after site delivery.
  • Keywords can only be added during the 1st Stage of Development. After that, Jazzie S needs to be informed, otherwise, not added in the Keywords field at all.
  • Ask Harry E & Bryan L not to send the "Your Site is Ready to See" email so the client is not alerted while features are missing.

  • Custom Features:
  • Devs will not be able to build custom features. Do these after delivery. Add notes in Project Notes Field.
  • Ask Chris R & Bryan L not to send the "Your Site is Ready to See" email so the client is not alerted while features are missing.

  • Replication vs Reference
  • Replication is only for Client's legacy sites. Never other sites.
  • Reference for similar (not the exact same) design for sites belonging to others

  • Delivery: Audit the Site for missing features the Dev may have missed so you can catch the feature that would otherwise ruin the Launch Call, affecting your opportunity for a review or Upsell.
